I’ve found my Bible reading has become a discipline. I read it in spite of feelings for a long enough time that it became a habit. There are still some days I get more out of it than others but any time with Jesus sitting quietly by my side is so worth it!

I know I struggle with prioritising time for God. But sometimes it’s not just a matter of rethinking my routine and changing things around. It has to come from a place of actually desiring to spend time with him. I know that if I always put him first, then I would make time, just like we find time for the people or doing the things we love even in the midst of a busy lifestyle.

This hit me hard. I actually took the time to pray before I finished this, because I know that I lack in my prayer life, and even in my devotional time with God.
